You can go many diving spots from Alona beach. All spots are close. It takes 5 minutes to 90 mins, depending on the spots. Many diving services arrange the night dive and the dive safari. It is also recommended to snorkel at another island. To go another island, you can join diving boats or charter Banker rental (with guide, P1500/day). The best seasons are from February to June and from September to November which has no winds. In Jul and Aug which has strong winds, diving isn't sometimes available. Water clearance is about 20 meters. It takes 4 or 5days to get PADI Open Water License. And fee is about $300. |
|
Basically one dive in the morning and another dive in the afternoon. But night dive is available as requested. You have lunch on the boat or island. You must battle with sales woman who suddenly appears by boat. Diving staffs arrange everything from setting gears to carrying on your back.
