Have Ss open the textbook to page 2. Ask simple questions about the page such as "Where's a bird?""How many flowers?"
Explain the@characters ,Annie,Ted and Digger, using the picture cards.

Encourage Ss to do the greetings with you. Praise when they try out.

Have Ss practice several times.

Have Ss practice self-introduction.Have them use a different name each time after the second round such as their friend's name, favorite actor's name.
Say the words along with weak students, if necessary.

Play the recording saying "Let's listen."
Attach 10 flash cards of colors on the blackboad.Divide the class into Teams A and B,Have each team stand in line at one end of the cards each,which becomes the team's starting point. The first student on each team ( SA1,SB1)touches the first card and names its color,then continue along the cards toward each other. When they meet,they do rock-paper-scissors. If SA1 wins, s/he keeps going and SB1 goes to the back of her/his team. SB2 quickly starts at Team B's starting point,touches and names cards till s/he meets SA1.The team to get the last card firstwins.
