 1 Greetings
Good morning. / Hello! How are you? / Fine, thank you.
 Model the greetings with one student. Continue with the rest of the class.


Encourage Ss to do the greetings with you. Praise when they try out.

 2 Activities 
     Tongue Twister     Backpack

 Have students repeat the word "backpack" as fast as they can.Increase the number of repetition.


Say the words along with weak students, if necessary.

 3 Chant  The Backpack Chant』 (CD 43) 
 
Say, " Today we are going to practice this chant." Play the recording.

   What's this?
 
Take out a classroom object one by one. Ask,"What's this?" and teach each word. Have Ss name each, if they can.

    Point and say   

 
Place all the classroom objects on the desk. Point to one object and have Ss name it. Continue with all the objects.


Invite volunteers to be "the teacher"when necessary.

Praise students as they try to chant.
