 1.Near the Karuizawa station

Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza (At the South exit of the Karuizawa station. This huge shopping mall contains more than 160 shops.)

Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort (Open from early November to early April. Both beginners and advanced skiers can have fun here.)

Kumoba Pond(This beautiful pond reflects the seasonal changes in the scenery. The period of the fall foliage from the middle of October to early November, in particular, is a must see. It is also known poetically as SwanLake.)

Manpei Hotel(Throughout its long and distinguished history, ever since its foundation in 1894, this hotel has been a favorite with many figures of prominence.)

 2. Kyu-Karuizawa

Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza (Approximately 400 stores, from old and established shops to modern shopping malls, stand side by side.Please note that many of the stores are closed during the winter season.)

Old Mikasa Hotel (The only pure western-style hotel built from wood during the Meiji era in existence in Japan)

Karuizawa Museum of Picture Books (This museum hosts exhibitions of picture books and original pictures collected from Europe, the USA and other parts of the world.)

Erzgebirge Toys Museum of Karuizawa (This museum hosts exhibitions of toys from the Erzgebirge region in Germany.)

 4. Naka-Karuizawa

Karuizawa Highland Chapel (A church that showcases the history of Karuizawa)

Karuizawa Yacho-no-mori(Wild Bird Sanctuary) (One of the greatest homes for wild birds in Japan, populated by a wide variety of animals and plants.)

Sengataki Falls (This waterfall is approximately 20 m high. There is a picturesque walking course along the mountain stream.)

Karuizawa Skate Center (A leisure land that provides fun all year round. During the winter, visitors can enjoy skating, snow boarding and sledding. Entertainments during other seasons include tennis, cycling and putting golf.)
